Outback Express Breaks Cover
Sept 16th 2008

The impressive new mount for the WA 1 “Outback  Express” has broken cover this week with the arrival into Kalgoorlie of the new Rocket chassis straight from the Lismore workshop of Danny Smith.

The car was collected from the east coast and spirited into it’s new Kalgoorlie home by team owner Frank & Robs younger brother Corey over the weekend.

With the original debut of the car planned for Friday 19th September  in Broome, delays in the arrival of crucial components from the USA stalled the delivery and the team had to make the decision to withdraw from the northern swing of the Super Sedan Summer Series.

The car has been delivered from Danny’s workshop as a complete roller and we now need to implant the freshened Speedtorque engine, get the exhaust system fabricated and the get the whole deal scrutineered and registered in time for the opening of Kalgoorlie in early October.

While the car was waiting on arrival of components FX signs in Lismore were given the task of coming up with a graphics design and overall package for the presentation of the WA1 car and the result has the car looking absolutely sensational.

The team wish to welcome back the teams sponsors from previous seasons staying on board for the coming season, and are pleased to announce the addition of Goldfields People Hire and Perth Based Hero Engineering to the Outback Express team for the 2008 /09 season.

Goldfields People Hire are a specialist labour hire & recruitment company based in Kalgoorlie

Hero Engineering are a diverse electrical engineering company with ties to the mining & oil & gas industries across the nation.

We trust that when you are looking for goods or services you will turn to our valuable sponsors first for your requirements.

In addition to the new look for the racecar the team will be stepping out in fresh designs in crew gear for the coming season thanks to the imagination of the big fella (Bear) at BCM Motorsports. BCM have taken over all aspects of the marketing of the Outback Express so look out for some changes in the near future.
